Voids, discounts and the manager PIN
Which actions need a manager, what gets recorded, and why nothing can be deleted.
Updated 26 September 2026
Some actions change money that has already been recorded. Innix asks a manager to approve them with their PIN and a reason.
What needs a manager’s PIN
- Removing an item after it was sent to the kitchen or bar
- Removing or changing a charge already on a guest’s bill
- A discount larger than the person’s limit
- Checking a guest out while they still owe money
- Refunds
Each person has a discount limit set by the owner. Up to that limit they can discount on their own.
What gets recorded
Every one of these writes a line recording who asked, which manager approved, the reason, the amount and the time. Owners see them in the daily report and in Reports.
Why nothing is deleted
A void does not erase the original line. It adds a correcting line, so the record always shows what happened and in what order. Nobody can edit or delete it from the app, including managers and owners.
Wrong PIN
After several wrong PINs in a row, the PIN locks for a while. This stops anyone guessing a manager’s PIN at a busy till.
